BSA launches online synchronous training for Boeing 787

Having secured UK CAA approval for online synchronous EASA Part 147 Type training, BSA is starting its distance learning programme with a Boeing 787 8/9/10 T1000 & GENX course which begins on 20th July 2020. BSA plans to introduce online synchronous training for the Boeing 737 NG and MAX variants in the coming weeks.

Delivered by some of the world’s leading Boeing 787 engineering instructors from our purpose-built studio at BSA’s training facility at London Luton Airport, this course is applicable to either B1 or B2 engineers wanting to work on the B787 – 8/9/10. It includes 6 weeks of online synchronous learning followed by 4 days of revision and the fee includes exams and 2 weeks of practical training on the aircraft when Covid-19 restrictions facilitate access. In accordance with EASA regulations, practical training with BSA will only be carried out face-to-face.

As well as introducing online synchronous training for the Boeing 787, BSA is offering a range of modular training courses, that recognizes different stages of an aircraft engineer’s career. These include engine conversion courses for either B1 or B2 engineers who wish to convert from the GE GEnx engine to the Rolls Royce Trent 1000 engine and vice versa. Modular courses include both classroom study and practical training on the aircraft, in accordance with health and safety guidelines.
