BSA – Brexit Beaters!

A quick 2021 update from BSA’s Part 147 Team.

Well, what a roller coaster year it’s been for the Aviation Industry – Brexit, COVID, Lockdown, Summer, More COVID and Brexit again!

Having run all our Boeing Part 147 courses face to face from the day BSA started, I have been so pleased with the way our instructors have adapted to the new way of teaching via Teams, it’s as if they’d taught this way all their lives.

With online training so new to PART 147, the highlight for me has to be when we were asked to demonstrate our online course to certain National Aviation Authorities and the feedback that we received was incredible! We were commended on our engagement with the student, interaction with several different applications during the demo, the depth of knowledge of the instructor and the attention to detail of our course material. I have both Paula and Andy to thank for setting the benchmark for others to follow!

As the year came to a close it became more and more apparent that our UK CAA and EASA were not going to come to a deal. This was a major concern as our 2021 courses would not be recognised outside of the UK remit, as they had been prior to BREXIT.

Thankfully, BSA (with special credit to Ram Naidoo our Quality Manager), had already put measures in place and our EASA 3rd Country Approval was issued at the start of January, strengthening our position as the Airline and MRO’s #1 choice for PART 147 Training!

I have to thank everyone who has been part of the 147 Team to date and long may our success continue, oh and watch this space for more aircraft types and some exciting Pilot Training News coming soon.

Keep Safe
